Community Involvement

I have championed the rights of our blind citizens and have been able to help in their needs with financial aid.

I take a keen interest in our residents associations and am a member of several.

The Arts are an important part of our Borough and I am a member of several societies.

Environment and the need to change many aspects of our lives are important. I have played a leading role within council in this area, for example, implementing the Spring Clean Day, having more dog bins installed, calling for the reduction of plastic bags.

Meeting with the Water Service in areas where there is an overflow of sewage; most recently, with the full support of the Council, I called for a 24-hour phone Helpline for Flooding where all 3 agencies, Water, Roads and Rivers must come together to address this in a co-ordinated and speedy manner.
